Bad effects
Poverty is one effect of Poor governance, for example many African leaders have been influenced by this misconduct to ignore the needs of the people. These leaders, who have created the "personal rule paradigm," in which they consider their employment as a kind of property and personal gain, publicly hire underqualified people in key positions at state-owned businesses and government ministries. This type of government harms the poorest people by denying them basic necessities such as healthcare, food, and shelter.
Poor governance has the most significant impact on a country's progress. As a result, a country's perpetual condition of need, poverty, and inability to effect the necessary transformation.
According to Cain (2016), under President Robert Mugabe's authoritarian regime, Zimbabwe experienced its worst and downfall because of its administration. As a result, Zimbabweans have no choice but to face the consequences of poor governance and a so-called leader who lacks leadership. These citizens who trusted their government to protect them have experienced gross violations of property rights such as vandalism, fraudulent politicians, restrictive business orders, and a dreadful monetary policy, all of which are inhumane and traumatic for them.
Poor governance, criminalization of politics, and violations of citizens' rights have resulted as a result of this. Insecurity, extortion, and violence characterize law and order. The media is full of reports about the alarming rise in crime and the alarming flaws of legislation, police enforcement, the court system, and prisons.
